The BIMA 100 awards selects 100 people in the digital industry that are shaping the future and we’re super proud that our very own Rosie Hopes, Managing Partner and Head of our Insight & Strategy team, has been recognised as part of this list. In this blog post, Rosie talks through what the significance of being part of this esteemed community means for the agency and our clients, as well as how she feels reaching this momentous milestone.
What Is BIMA?
BIMA stands for the British Interactive Media Association and is the voice of digital and tech, representing a community of digital businesses including agencies, charities and brands. The membership body provides useful resources on training, a host of events throughout the year to bring the community together and the industry’s longest-running awards. As a digital agency, we’re long-standing members of BIMA and really value being part of the great work they do.
Being Part of the BIMA Hot 100
This exclusive list of 100 changemakers in digital has a variety of categories that leaders fall under including, CEOs, Champions for Change, Rising Stars and so many more. I am part of the Strategists and Consultants group as strategy is a key part of my role. Being connected to other leading strategists in the UK is so valuable for me to share challenges I am facing, keep abreast of the latest changes in our industry and to champion each other’s successes.
Once you’re in the BIMA 100, you’re invited to exclusive dinners where you can really grow your connections, not just in the category that you’re a part of, but across the whole BIMA 100 list. Getting all changemakers in a room in an informal setting promotes cross-learning, gives us ideas on how to grow our businesses and our talent.
I’m super excited to get more involved with BIMA and meet more people in the BIMA 100 list. In fact, I am leading a BIMA masterclass in September on the future of search, a topic I’m particularly passionate about. Sign up to the masterclass if you’re a BIMA member.
What Does Being Part of the BIMA 100 Mean for Passion and Our Clients
Having a Passionista in the BIMA 100 affirms Passion as an agency with exceptional talent, leadership and strategic capabilities. Everyone at the agency was so pleased and proud to hear that I had made the list and the support from my colleagues means the world, without their encouragement, guidance and belief in me I wouldn’t have made it on the list.
This recognition helps us grow as an agency as I’m now more connected to the industry – keeping my focus on how we can grow and ensuring we’re up-to-date with all the latest in the world of performance marketing.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Being part of this select community provides plenty of opportunity to improve performance for our clients. My role means that I work across the entire business, spotting opportunities for clients to get better Return on Investment (ROI) through diving deeper into target audiences, smoothing out user journeys and so much more besides. It’s easy for accounts to stagnate as we work on the day-to-day, so being in the BIMA 100 pushes me to step outside of this, speak with other agency professionals and be inspired to Imagine Better for our clients.
A Moment to Be Proud Of
I’m so proud to have been selected as part of the BIMA 100 this year, sitting alongside real industry veterans and people that inspire me. When I was younger, I never foresaw a career in digital marketing so now being classed as a leader in this space is quite surreal! This accolade has rewarded all the difficult brand launches, complex multichannel accounts and the ups and downs of agency life that I’ve been navigating and puts me in a stronger position to continue growing at Passion.
As a female leader, it’s particularly encouraging to be on the BIMA 100 list to shine a light on the status that we as women can achieve. It’s also brilliant to see individuals and Passion as a whole be rewarded for the great work we’re doing, including being Google Premier Partners and winning three UK Search Awards at the end of last year.
What’s really exciting is to get more involved in the community I’ve just joined. Everyone on the list has their own story, passions and insights which I’m keen to learn from, to grow as a Passionista and simultaneously contribute to Passion’s growth.
It’s great to hear what this accolade personally means to Rosie and we’re all so proud of her at Passion. If you’re interested in how our award-winning team can drive results for you, please get in touch today.
