The different types of YouTube ads.

Skippable in-stream ads

This type of ad can appear either before a video starts or in the middle of it. It plays for a minimum of five seconds, after which the viewer has the option to skip it. Additionally, skippable ads come with a banner ad that remains visible even if the user chooses to skip the video.

Non-skippable in-stream ads

Similar to skippable ads, this format can appear before or during a video. The key difference is that users do not have the option to skip these ads, making them highly effective for raising brand awareness.

Bumper ads

These six-second non-skippable ads play just before the actual video begins. They are ideal for businesses with a concise message and do not require the same production level as a longer video.

In-feed ads
