BMS was setup way back in 1990 on the premise that both candidates and clients deserved a better service. Their answer was simple, create a business model where Account Managers focused entirely on the needs of the clients and Consultants on the needs of the candidates. With 15 specialist divisions focusing entirely on the talent in your market, BMS can offer career advice on your next step or guidance on the current skills and experience available on the market.

The aim of the rebuild was to create a site that would look visually pleasing but also to enhance the user’s journey to the various services BMS provide. This meant the site needed to work seamlessly from the perspective of a candidate and marketer.

To improve the candidates experience various improvements were needed; such as a personalised job search, quick applying, and job alerts.

approach

Our designers worked closely with BMS to test out different user journeys. These tests allowed us to refine the structure of the site to work for candidates and marketers.

The site was built on WordPress, this is mainly due to it being one of the most user friendly content management systems and its ability to quickly adapt to future changes.

A better job search was implemented to give the user a more tailored experience. This was accompanied by the functionality of ‘1-click-apply’, which provided the ability to quickly apply to jobs using stored details. As well as a job alert, which would email the user a list of jobs under a certain criteria.

A CRM known as Pardot was integrated in to the site to give BMS the access to potential prospect, which they could then use for campaigns at a later date.
