Background

Gebler Tooth is a RIBA Chartered Practice of Architects and Designers with offices based in London and Heathrow.

They specialise in various market sectors including airport, work space and media, hospitality and leisure, sport and residential. We were tasked with re-designing their website, showing off their broad portfolio of world-class design, while framing the new vision for the brand.

The original website did not do any justice. The brand message wasn’t clear, nor did it highlight the broad and varied nature of work completed by Gebler Tooth. The journey through the original site was also confusing and un-inspiring. Therefore our aim was to re-frame Gebler Tooth Architects, improving their brand and brand message as well as a complete fresh look and feel for the company.

As Gebler Tooth are very well known for their work in aviation, the aim of the website was not primarily to drive new enquiries, but to act as a ‘digital calling card’ which can be given to clients after face-to-face meetings. The website also had to convey a friendly and reliable tone consistency with their brand, but also illustrate the level of quality and professionalism delivered through every project.

The main challenge was to facilitate and improve the overall user experience, while creating a completely fresh, new look for a well-known company.

Our approach was simple, conducting workshops with the main stakeholders from the company, outlining the story of Geblertooth.

  • Understanding the brand and the vision
  • Exploring new directions for the style
  • Exploring the use of white-space to highlight imagery (allowing the work to speak for itself)
  • Creating character with Tone of Voice, micro-interactions and animations.
