The challenge.

EIT Campus had a bold goal: to push its website traffic past 100,000 users annually. But volume wasn’t everything. They needed to attract niche audiences, the kind that traditional paid media channels often struggle to reach.

So, we accepted the challenge. With our signature blend of performance and imagination, we set out to find smarter, more strategic ways to connect with the right people and make every click count.

Our response.

To reach our target audiences of teachers and women in STEM, we strategically chose Reddit. This platform offered access to established, engaged communities within relevant subreddits, allowing us to connect with these individuals in spaces where they had already demonstrated significant interest. This approach expanded beyond the typical targeting options available on platforms like LinkedIn and Meta.

Our process involved extensive research across Reddit to identify the most relevant subreddits, forming the foundation of our target audience. We then layered on additional targeting criteria, including relevant keywords, potential interests, location and demographic data, to refine our reach. EIT Campus developed tailored creative assets designed to resonate specifically with these niche audiences.

The impact.

The results were significant. Reddit proved to be a powerful driver of growth, fuelling a 492% increase in EIT Campus website traffic, from 9,584 to 47,194 users in three months, alongside 46,000 website clicks and 16.7 million impressions.

So far, at the EIT Campus, we have based our acquisition strategy on more traditional channels, namely Google Search Ads and LinkedIn, which are very suitable for our more generic audience. However, we wanted to add advertising pieces targeting narrower, more specific audiences without losing traffic volume. With this Reddit campaign dedicated to educators, we have seen how we can reach a niche audience while not only maintaining but also maximizing traffic to EIT Campus.
